Leadership Sustainability and Succession Planning

 

This is an annual process that we facilitate with executive leaders and nonprofit boards to plan for all contingencies impacting leadership sustainability and transitions. This process focuses on cultivating strong internal pipelines to ensure the longterm stability of the organization as well as the sustainability of the executive leadership position. Parental Leave & Sabbatical Planning

 

We facilitate planning processes for boards and executive leaders ahead short or long-term leave, including parental leave as well as sabbatical. During this process we establish the reallocation of responsibilities across team members, communication protocols, and a reentry process following the period of leave. Our guidance on each consideration that we bring to the table is founded in best practice.


Board Succession Planning

 

We facilitate an annual planning process for nonprofit boards of directors to evaluate the current capacity of the board, the tenure of officers and all board members, and the process by which the board and its committees will replace members who complete their tenure. The comprehensive succession plan will address both emergency departures as well as planned departures, and our approach places an emphasis on the composition and diversity of the board.


Leadership & Talent Planning Workshops

 

We will introduce the concepts of leadership succession and sustainability planning to your team and facilitate a planning workshop to integrate these concepts. Participants will spend the workshop making plans to implement practices that result in deeper, more diverse, and stronger internal talent pipelines.
